Installation Steps

Locate the factory light cover on the door and use a trim pry tool to carefully pop it off.

Use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the panel.

Use a trim removal tool to gently pry open the door panel.

Disconnect the wiring harness plug and the door handle cable.

Thread the warning light wire through the small hole at the bottom of the panel, leaving a short length exposed on the outside.

Make sure to use the correct hole — the upper hole is for screws only. Do not thread the wire through it.

This is the location of the factory courtesy light connector on your vehicle.

Unplug the factory light wire connector, then connect it to the warning light's plug.

Securely connect the control wire and the light wire connector together.

Peel off the 3M adhesive backing and firmly press the light onto the mounting area indicated by the arrow.
