The tow hitch hardware has a supplier-listed structural design rating of up to 6,500 lbs. This does not mean the vehicle itself may tow 6,500 lbs.

Actual towing and tongue-weight limits must always follow the specifications in your Tesla Owner's Manual and the limits applicable to your exact vehicle configuration. The supplier page lists a Model Y vehicle towing limit of up to 3,500 lbs / 1,600 kg and a maximum tongue weight of 350 lbs / 160 kg.

Standard 2-Inch Receiver

The receiver uses the common 2-inch hitch size, making it suitable for many compatible hitch-mounted accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers. For trailer towing, a compatible hitch ball, ball mount, hook, and any required wiring equipment must be selected separately.
