This adapter is designed for the Starlink Standard Actuated / V2 rectangular-dish system using the Gen 2 router. It should not be treated as a universal adapter for Starlink Mini, current Standard / Gen 3, Enterprise or other Starlink hardware that uses different connectors.

About Ethernet Speed

Current RYVAXO product text lists support for up to Gigabit-class Ethernet. Actual internet throughput is not guaranteed by the adapter and depends on Starlink service conditions, network equipment, cabling, local traffic and connected-device capability.

Simple Inline Installation

Starlink Gen 2 Ethernet adapter installation between rectangular dish and router

1. Power Down Starlink

Disconnect power from the Gen 2 Starlink router before disconnecting or reconnecting the dish cable.

2. Disconnect the Dish Cable

Remove the Gen 2 Starlink dish cable from the router connection carefully.

3. Insert the Ethernet Adapter

Connect the Starlink dish cable to the matching port on the Ethernet Adapter.

4. Connect the Adapter to the Router

Connect the adapter's integrated Starlink cable/interface to the Gen 2 router so the dish-to-router connection is restored.

5. Connect Your Ethernet Device

Plug a standard Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port and connect the other end to your PC, switch, TV, router WAN port or other compatible network device.

6. Restore Power

Power the Starlink system back on and allow the router and dish to reconnect before testing Ethernet connectivity.

Using a Third-Party Router?

Connect the third-party router's WAN port to the Ethernet Adapter. If you want that router to replace the Starlink Gen 2 router's routing and Wi-Fi functions, enable Bypass Mode in the Starlink App.

Using a Network Switch?

A network switch can be connected to the adapter when you need additional wired LAN ports. Bypass Mode is not required simply to add ordinary wired devices through a switch.

Why does Starlink Gen 2 need an Ethernet adapter? +

How do I turn Bypass Mode off? +

Starlink currently requires a factory reset of the router to exit Bypass Mode and restore its normal Wi-Fi functions.

Does the Ethernet adapter guarantee faster internet than Wi-Fi? +

No. Ethernet provides a physical wired network path and can avoid local Wi-Fi interference, but actual Starlink internet performance still depends on satellite conditions, service congestion, obstructions and your network hardware.

Does it need drivers or software? +

No software driver is required for normal wired Ethernet use.

Does the adapter need its own wall power supply? +

No separate AC wall adapter is required for the Ethernet Adapter itself. It installs inline in the Gen 2 Starlink system.
