Side Mount
Designed for installation on a vertical wall or post. This option is suitable when you want to position the retractor beside your charging station.

Ceiling Mount
Designed for installation beneath a ceiling, beam, or suitable overhead shelf. This option allows the cable to be supported from above.

Both versions use the same self-locking retraction mechanism. Select the mounting style that matches your installation surface and cable route.

Controlled Retraction for Everyday Use

The self-locking mechanism lets you extend only the tether length needed for your charging setup. Once the desired length is reached, pause to engage the lock. Pull again to release it when you are ready to retract.

Guide the tether back as it retracts instead of allowing it to snap back freely. Correct use helps reduce sudden movement and keeps the cable organized after charging.

⚠️ Installation & Cable Safety Notice

Mount the retractor only to a structurally sound surface using suitable fasteners. The mounting surface must be able to support the installed unit and the cable load.

Position the retractor so it supports cable slack without applying continuous upward or sideways force to the connected charging plug, vehicle inlet, or charger.

Do not install the unit if the clamp cannot securely hold the cable jacket, the mounting surface is unsuitable, or the cable route creates persistent tension on the connector.

The retractor is a mechanical cable-management accessory, not an electrical charging device. It does not increase charging speed or replace the charger's electrical safety features.

Installation

1. Choose a Suitable Mounting Location
Select a solid vertical wall, post, ceiling, beam, or other suitable structural surface close to your charging area.

2. Select the Correct Mounting Version
Choose Side Mount for a vertical surface or Ceiling Mount for an overhead surface.

3. Mark the Mounting Points
Position the mounting plate and mark the required fixing points according to the supplied installation instructions.

4. Secure the Mounting Plate
Use suitable fasteners for the mounting surface and secure the plate firmly. Wall anchors may be required depending on the material.

5. Install the Retractor
Attach the retractor to the mounting plate and confirm that it is securely retained.

6. Position the Cable Clamp
Secure the tether clamp around a compatible section of the charging cable jacket, following the supplied instructions.

7. Test the Locking Mechanism
Extend the tether, pause to lock it, then pull again to release. Guide the tether back carefully and check the full range of movement.

8. Check Cable and Connector Clearance
Confirm that the cable moves freely and that the connected charging plug is not subjected to continuous tension.

Inspect the mounting plate, fasteners, tether, and cable clamp periodically for looseness, wear, or damage.

Keep the retractor clean and free from debris that could interfere with smooth extension or retraction. Do not force the tether if the locking mechanism becomes jammed.
