Self-Adhesive Exterior Overlay
1. Confirm the Vehicle
Select the Model 3 or Model Y version that matches your vehicle before installation, as the exterior trim geometry differs between models.
2. Clean the Original Trim
Remove dust, wax, grease and detailing residue from the triangular exterior trim and allow the surface to dry completely.
3. Test-Fit Before Peeling
Place each carbon piece over the corresponding left or right trim area first and check perimeter alignment.
4. Remove the Adhesive Liner
Peel the backing from the self-adhesive surface only after confirming the correct position and orientation.
5. Align & Press Into Position
Align the edges carefully, lower the overlay onto the original trim and apply firm even pressure across the panel.
6. Check All Edges
Confirm that each perimeter edge is fully seated and that no section of the carbon panel is lifted away from the factory surface.
No Drilling or Factory Panel Removal
This is an overlay-style exterior modification. Current installation instructions do not require drilling, cutting, replacing the factory trim or removing the interior A-pillar panel.
Model YL Compatibility
The latest Tesery selector explicitly lists Model YL 2026+, but the current TESKAY selector only states Model Y 2021-ON and does not provide a separate Model YL option. Confirm the exterior triangular trim shape before ordering for Model YL.
