1. Check the OE Label
Confirm the current lamp's part number and whether you need the outer Turn Brake Lamp or trunk-mounted Inner Tail Light.
2. Confirm the 4-Pin Connector
Inspect the electrical plug and verify that the vehicle uses the four-pin version before removing the old lamp.
3. Access the Lamp Mounting Area
Remove the necessary trunk, liftgate or rear interior trim to access the original lamp connector and mounting hardware.
4. Remove the Original Lamp
Disconnect the factory plug and release the original lamp from its mounting points without pulling on the vehicle wiring.
5. Install the Replacement
Position the replacement assembly in the factory location, secure it using the corresponding mounting points and connect the matching 4-pin harness.
6. Test Before Reassembly
Verify all functions provided by the selected lamp and vehicle configuration before reinstalling interior trim.
