1. Clean the Factory Trim

Remove dust, oil, silicone dressing and fingerprints with alcohol and a clean lint-free cloth.

2. Test-Fit Before Peeling

Place each carbon cover over the corresponding original trim and confirm edge alignment before exposing the adhesive.

3. Apply Adhesion Promoter

Use the supplied or recommended adhesion promoter where directed to improve tape bonding.

4. Remove the 3M Backing

Peel away the protective liner only after the exact orientation of each cover has been confirmed.

5. Align & Press

Lower the trim into position carefully and apply firm, even pressure along the full bonded surface.

6. Allow Adhesive to Cure

Avoid repeatedly lifting or disturbing the trim immediately after installation and allow the adhesive time to establish its full bond.

Model Y Production Location Matters

Model Y door-trim geometry differs between production versions. Choose the Germany / USA or China option matching your vehicle and production period rather than ordering by model year alone.

Not for Model 3 Highland or Model Y Juniper

The current selector stops at Model 3 2023.10 and Model Y 2025.02. Highland and Juniper use different door designs and require their own dedicated carbon-fiber trim products.
