Do not order based only on the words “Model 3” or “Model Y.” Tesla now uses different 15.4-inch and 16-inch displays across refreshed models and production periods. Choose the option that matches your exact vehicle version and touchscreen size.

15.4-Inch & 16-Inch Protectors Are Different

The 15.4-inch and 16-inch displays require different protector dimensions. Do not attempt to install a 15.4-inch protector on a 16-inch display or vice versa.

Earlier Model 3 / Model Y Use a Different Product

Installation Guide

1. Enable Screen Clean Mode
Use Tesla's Screen Clean Mode so accidental touches do not activate controls while you work.

2. Clean the Display
Use the supplied wet cleaning wipe to remove fingerprints, oils and surface residue.

3. Dry the Screen
Use the dry wipe until no moisture or streaks remain.

4. Remove Remaining Dust
Use the supplied dust-removal stickers to lift small particles from the display surface.

5. Test the Alignment
Confirm the protector size and orientation before allowing the adhesive surface to contact the display.

6. Peel the Protective Backing
Avoid touching the adhesive side of the protector.

7. Align & Lower Carefully
Use the screen edges as alignment references and gently lower the glass onto the display.

8. Remove Remaining Air
Gently work remaining air toward the edges using a soft installation tool or microfiber-covered finger.

⚠️ Install in a Clean, Low-Dust Environment

Small dust particles trapped between the protector and display can create visible bubbles. Complete all cleaning and alignment steps before removing the adhesive backing.

⚠️ Do Not Bend or Force Tempered Glass

Tempered glass is rigid. Do not sharply bend, twist or force an incorrectly sized protector onto the display, as edge stress can cause cracking.
