Wet Installation Overview

1. Prepare the Paint
Wash the panel thoroughly and remove bonded contamination. Tesery specifically recommends using a clay bar during preparation.

2. Apply Slip Solution
Spray an appropriate slip solution onto the painted panel and the adhesive side of the film.

3. Lay the Pre-Cut Film
Place the PPF onto the wet surface and align the pre-cut pattern without stretching it aggressively into position.

4. Tack the Reference Points
Align the edges, corners and major reference points before fully setting the film.

5. Squeegee the Film
Push slip solution and trapped air outward with overlapping squeegee strokes while maintaining alignment.

6. Allow the Film to Cure
Keep the vehicle dry and allow the PPF to settle for at least 8–12 hours after installation.

⚠️ Professional Installation Recommended

Experienced DIY installers may install pre-cut PPF using wet-installation techniques, but Tesery recommends professional installation—especially for the front bumper and other complex curved sections.

⚠️ Pre-Cut Does Not Mean Zero Installation Skill

The vehicle-specific patterns reduce the need for trimming directly on the car, but correct paint preparation, slip solution, stretching, alignment and squeegee technique are still required for a clean result.
