1. Confirm Vehicle Eligibility
Current manufacturer compatibility specifically highlights Model Y Performance 2025.10+ and Cybertruck. Confirm the exact vehicle configuration before purchase.
2. Verify CCS / Discharge Support
The manufacturer requires compatible CCS charging-protocol support. Earlier Tesla vehicles may require hardware or software changes and should not be assumed compatible.

Does it work with every Model Y? +

Tesla's own outlet adapter is rated 2.4kW. Why is this unit rated higher? +
Tesla's official outlet solution and this third-party discharger are different hardware products. Tesla currently lists 2.4kW maximum for its 120V Outlet Adapter, while this third-party unit publishes higher device ratings. Those ratings should not be interpreted as a guarantee that the vehicle itself will authorize the full amount.
What happens when the vehicle battery reaches 20%? +
The current manufacturer specification states that the unit stops discharging when vehicle SOC reaches approximately 20%.
