Waterproof Rating Depends on Correct Connections

How long is the cable? +
The current specification lists approximately 20cm, or 7.9 inches.
Does Starlink Mini actually consume 100W? +
No. Starlink currently lists average Mini power consumption at approximately 25–40W and a 12–48V / 60W Max DC input. The 100W figure is the required minimum USB-C PD source rating when powering a Mini through the USB-C method.
Can I use a 65W USB-C charger? +
Starlink's current USB-C guidance requires a minimum 100W, 20V/5A PD source. Do not select a 65W charger when building the C-to-DC USB-C power setup.
Does DC-to-DC increase the voltage? +
No. It is a passive extension adapter and does not contain a step-up or step-down converter.
Can DC-to-DC fix a Starlink Mini that keeps rebooting? +
Not if the reboot is caused by voltage drop or inadequate source power. Starlink recommends reducing cable length, using a thicker cable or supplying a higher suitable voltage when low-voltage DC runs cause instability.
Why would I need such a short extension? +
It can move the connection point away from the recessed Mini power port or mounting hardware, making temporary disconnects easier without repeatedly removing a pipe adapter or mount.
